December 8

So, how did the party go, you ask?

Here’s your answer.

+50 cans of beer, 5 bottles of red wine, 2 bottles of white wine, 1 bottle of whiskey, 1 bottle of vodka, 1 bottle of Baileys, half bottle of Bacardi Apple and 1 bottle of rum. I think it would be fair to say we smashed it last night.

Much to my surprise, even though we were 20 people (that’s three times more than the last party), it all ended a bit earlier than expected, around 2:30am. Still, a fantastic party with loads of fun people. Really enjoyed having them over. Woke up this morning at 9am, did a bit of cleaning, went back to bed and slept a couple more hours, then woke up again, back to bed for half and hour and then finally jumped in the shower and took a bus straight to the city centre, to meet Carlos and Bettina at a nice french café called Voulez Vous for Sweet Sneak, a lovely pop up bakery organised by some of Carlos’ friends.

I have met some of the girls behind Sweet Sneak before, at that CBS party a few months ago, but didn’t know back then that they had this wonderful business going on. Everything looked amazing and it was difficult to make a choice but in the end, I decided to go with the carrot cake, which was delicious. There were also cupcakes, brownies, apple tarts, cheese cakes and all sorts of lovely baked stuff. Really nice. I stayed there with Bettina for a couple of hours, then we went to Greasy Spoon for a burger and now I’m back home, feeling quite tired really. I have no hangover but I’m a bit sleepy so I might as well watch a couple of episodes of The Shield if I find them online and go for an early night, feels like the right thing to do after all this partying…
